Who Is Jon Maples? The Man Behind the Signs, theAds, and the Campaign

Beyond the campaign trail is a husband, a father, a neighbor, and a man who
believes public service should be about something bigger than politics.

Three adults walk arm-in-arm down a sunny suburban sidewalk, smiling, with green lawns and trees around them.

You’ve seen his face on television. You’ve passed his signs along the road. You’ve probably received a
campaign mailer or seen his name on social media. But who is Jon Maples, really? And why would a
successful businessman, devoted husband, and father step into the often unforgiving world of politics?

Those who know Jon personally describe someone who makes you feel like you’ve known him for years.
He’s approachable, genuinely interested in others, and more comfortable having a conversation with a
neighbor than talking about himself.

They know him as a man of deep faith, integrity, and a heart for serving others.
His faith is woven into how he lives and how he treats people. Jon is the same
person when the cameras are off as he is when they are on.

A Husband, a Girl Dad, and a Neighbor

Long before the political signs and television interviews, there was Jon, Kristi, and the life they were
building together. Jon and his wife, Kristi, have been married for 21 years. She’s an educator, and
together they’ve spent two decades putting down roots in Palm Beach County.

Their daughter, Bella, is 16 and recently started driving, a milestone that comes with plenty of pride and
probably a little worry. Ask Jon about Bella and you’ll quickly discover where his heart is. He’s a proud
girl dad who treasures his family and the ordinary moments that make life meaningful.

The Maples family lives in Abacoa, where they love their neighborhood, their close relationships with
neighbors, and the sense of community they’ve found. At home, life includes their small dog and the
familiar routines of family life. On Sundays, you’ll find Jon worshipping at
friends and members of his faith community.

His Christian faith is foundational to his character, but he understands that representing a community
means serving people from every background and walk of life. For Jon, integrity, compassion, humility,
and service aren’t campaign words. They’re personal responsibilities.

So Why Run for Office?

Jon didn’t enter this race because he needed another title, a bigger business card, or another
accomplishment for his résumé. He already had a career he was proud of, a family he adored, and a
community he loved.

But over time, Jon became increasingly concerned about the distance between elected officials and the
everyday people they’re supposed to represent. He believes public office should be about serving
others, not serving yourself. Too often, he has watched political ambition and personal interests
overshadow the needs of families and communities. And he believes we can do better.

A Future Worth Protecting

After more than 20 years in Palm Beach County, Jon knows what makes this area special. He also
understands how difficult it’s become for families to afford the communities they’ve worked so hard to
call home. Rising property insurance premiums, increasing expenses, and financial pressure on working
families aren’t abstract talking points. They’re conversations happening among friends and neighbors
every day.

And there is something deeply personal driving his desire to make a difference:
Jon wants his daughter to have the opportunity to build a life here, just as he and
Kristi did.

He hopes that someday, when Bella has a family of her own, his grandchildren can grow up nearby. He
wants them to enjoy the same beaches, neighborhoods, schools, and traditions that made him fall in
love with Palm Beach County.

Parents and grandparents throughout the community want the same thing. They want their children to
stay, their families close, and their neighborhoods to remain places where future generations can
thrive. That’s the future Jon wants to help protect.

Leadership Begins With Listening

Jon is a financial advisor and small business owner. He understands difficult decisions, planning for the
future, and how today’s choices affect tomorrow’s opportunities. But what stands out about him isn’t
simply professional experience. It’s his willingness to listen.

Whether he’s visiting residents, meeting business owners, supporting first responders, or cleaning up
beaches, Jon seems most comfortable connecting directly with people. He believes elected leaders
should remain accessible, accountable, and invested in their communities, not disappear into
Tallahassee and forget those who sent them there.

The Man Behind the Campaign

His priorities reflect that philosophy: making life more affordable, addressing property insurance costs,
supporting teachers and parents, standing alongside first responders, protecting waterways, and
ensuring government remembers who it works for. He knows not every problem has a simple solution,
but believes people deserve a representative who will show up, listen, work hard, and approach
decisions with integrity.

Campaigns have a way of turning people into slogans, television commercials, and yard signs. It’s easy
to forget that behind every candidate is a real person with a family, friendships, hopes, and reasons for
stepping forward.

For Jon Maples, those reasons are deeply personal. He loves his wife. He adores his daughter. He values
his faith, his friendships, and his neighbors. He loves the community that has given his family so much.
And he believes that when you’ve been blessed to build a good life somewhere, you have a
responsibility to help protect that opportunity for others.

Jon isn’t running because he believes politics needs more politicians. He’s
running because he believes people deserve better from their government.

Whether someone agrees with him on every issue or not, Jon welcomes the conversation. He wants
people to ask questions, attend a meet-and-greet, or simply introduce themselves when they see him in
the community. Because this campaign isn’t about a title. It’s about the people, the place, and the
future worth fighting for.
